a week of cuteness in pictures

Last Saturday. "pretty! bow! It's you!"

Playing a game of troll under the bridge, or something like that. Whatever the case, adorable smiles.

Strolling to the playground "play!!!"

New favorite toy. "Box. Hide! Is she? BOO!!!"

Where we spend our time outside. This is where we "play!" Lucky for me she's really happy going up, across, and down the big slide by herself.

After coming down the slide for the fifteenth time.

A little off topic, but a yummy spinach and berry smoothie. I think Arden stole about half of it though.
 Another Aldi box.

Papa and Nana's again...playing the "plenno". And she MUST hold baby while she sits on someone's lap, preferably Papa's, and plays the keyboard.
 ...like I said.
 Nana's iPad; a favorite toy :)

looking at pictures with Nana

Now this is REALLY off-topic. Arden's diapers needed to be stripped. Which I did, then I sunned them so the UV rays could work their magic. It was a nice day for it but I should've started earlier. And I didn't have enough places to hang them, as you can see. I need a clothesline.
yes, they are all over the place. And yes, I did a final vinegar wash since there were some that got a bit dirty on the fence and deck.

She did NOT enjoy the snow too much today. She didn't want mittens...She didn't like the feeling of having her thumb separate from the rest of her fingers. She kept saying "thumb! thumb!" while crying. I let her go without them but she just cried because it was so cold.

The first time we stayed out maybe 5 minutes until she recovered from ice-cold fingers...then she was up for more snow adventures.

brushing it off her boots. It was offending her because it would get on her, she'd touch it, and it was cold. She did not like the cold part.

Right after losing her balance and catching herself with her hands in the snow...that was VERY upsetting. "Hands! Cold! Cold! Brrr!" all while sobbing. It was very sad.

I finally convinced her that she'd be better off with mittens. Then we traipsed all over the beautiful snow.

That's all for now!

  1. I especially like the pic where she's walking around in the snow leaving her little tracks. Cute!

  2. Zeke didn't like the snow today either. I think he hated all the clothes he had to put on. And he didn't want mittens either but it was really cold out there...especially if you fell down in the snow and used your bare hands to help you to get up. I'm glad Arden finally got used to the snow.

I've missed you. We've had colds mainly. Hope we can be out again soon.

    1. Aw...babies and snow...so cute but they just don't mix that well, do they? I wouldn't say she "got used" to it...I think she was pretty happy to go inside. She recovered for a short time because she wanted to play at the playground...we only got halfway there and she started to get tired of trudging through the snow again. :) Waiting for a warmer day to "play".

  3. Aw Arden... Wow. I can't imagine being in snow for the first time. You did a good job capturing what she was feeling.

    1. Thanks, A! I knew I'd want those sad faces too, even though I just wanted to hug and warm her up...it was all part of the memory. :)
